Hi, Robin. Roger from Hollywood here (1969-197_). I would have sent you an e-mail, but I couldn't find an address for you, so please excuse this awkward and cumbersome workaround. I heard your NPR interview recently and your voice brought back wonderful memories of you and Glenna and "Revelation (you remember them, don't you?)" and that innocent time. I like the music you've been doing since then, but I think I still prefer your old stuff, like "Set Me Free," "My Country," and "Blues In The Night." I still play my ancient reel-to-reel copies of those (both the studio versions and the Video Lab sessions). I should probably burn them onto CDs someday. Unless, of course, you have them on an album already! In any event, I'm so happy you're successful doing what you want. I'm in Reno, Nev., going for my Master's Degree in journalism, and am having a ball. I've tried unsuccessfully to track down Glenna, so if you know where she is, please give her my best and ask her to get in touch. Same goes for you. Much success in the New Year. Love, Roger

hello everybody happy new year.........hopefully will be so especially if we can get these people back from iraq and get a new and better monkey in the white house. i hope you all keep visiting me here even if i don't put any albums out for awhile. You have to be rich or able to sell what you do........well...the fat lady hasn't sung yet. Roger.........I would love it if you made a CD of all those old songs and sent them to me. Believe it or not I don't have any copies and haven't heard them for years. i'm in school too but don't really have a major. Interested in learning everything....except math. Don't know if we'll be performing anytime in the near future but will let you know. I may start doing some solo shows combined with readings from my memoirs or memories........wouldn't want to sound too hoity toity. well i better get to sleep. I have a big day tomorrow glazing over a color i'm not too fond of in my new very small house. The other day I found tracks of a big animal in the snow right outside my back door. Tonight I saw a million stars and everyday there are eagles swooping overhead.

To Robin -- I was ecstatic to discover this website in response to a Google search on your name and to learn that your debut album and newer recordings are available on CD (how did I miss this earlier?). Your music defines my college years in Wisconsin and I've felt lost without it. We first "discovered" your music on MTV and my friends and I were hooked. I'm bummed, however, to learn that "Imitation Life" is not available in CD format. Can anyone tell me if there are any plans to release this fine recording on CD?

Hi there, believe or not Robin Lane has a fan in Brazil. I appreciate this beautiful voice since a friend gave me "Imitation of Life". I bought her solo album on "secondspin.com" this week and I can't wait to listen to. I still have some difficulty with my English, so when I discovered this site I finally could sing along "Idiot", my fave Lane's track. Thanks for your music, Robin Lane. Best regards, Ulisses

Robin, I'm sure you don't remember me, but I lived with you for a brief time as a young teenage girl. My guardian, Felicia, was your room mate. As I sit here listening to some music piping through my headphones, I listened to a voice that reminded me of your voice many years ago. So, I thought what the heck and did a search. I'm very happy to see that the music industry has been kind to you. Next time I'm record shopping, I pick up something from you. Best of luck to you. Michael, Russ, Cathy Cooper, everyone else out there in world. Thanks for your very sweet and heartfelt messages. They're my treasures. Yes I've been doing some great work with the women from the Pioneer Valley. We're in the process of recording the CD of songs written by women, most of whom are in stages of recovery from all sorts of different traumas. It's amazing the awful things that people can do to each other. We need to honor our brothers and sisters on the planet..........love really is the answer. It's so simple people don't get it. You can help those in your own backyard. Finishing up another Giving Youth a Voice CD and A Woman's Voice. Still on the massive hunt for funding. It's trickeling in and I hope that these two new recordings and the healing that is occuring in the participants as well as the amazing songs being written will influence those who can help these programs continue. No Imitation Life CD that I know of. Unfortunatly I don't own the masters to these recordings. I am not in control of when if ever they will be re-released on CD. You can purchase "Piece of Mind" It has some old tunes on it. The whole band minus Pat the Black, did a show out here at the Shea Theater. A good time was had by all. I brought one of the women from A Woman's Voice up to sing two songs with me and performed another song written by one of the women. Tim Jackson (Bo) spent the night at my new very tiny house out in the country. Next day we woke up and took a walk up the hill to visit the cows in the open meadow. It was so funny I almost died laughing. Bo was stuck in the middle of them. They were checking him out as he tried to make a docudrama with his digital camera. We got scared they were going to turn into bulls somehow and charge us. Tula Wouldn't stop barking. Reminds me of a song from the first Giving YOuth A Voice "Bovines are Mean and Cruel" I fully intend to record an album with the Lonesome Brothers of my country songs. As well as and hopefully this summer record more of my lounge type songs with Milt Reder from Four Piece Suit. I'm doing a living room tour of Maine in July. Augusta, Hollowell, Portland and some of the islands. I will be reading from my book and singing some of my songs. It should be alot of fun and I hope to see you there. I will post it on this website when I find out where the salons will be held. Love to you all especially Kit in case he ever visits this site remember..........believe none of what you hear and half of what you see There is so much misunderstanding amongst humans even blood kin. If it's possible reconcile
