If you see these pages with a red background and yellow letters, your browser is probably understanding the style sheet. If your background is white (or gray, or something else), then your browser is probably not interpreting the CSS correctly.
The versions of most browsers that have come out in the last several years can understand style sheets. Although different browsers have some differences in using CSS, this web site has been carefully constructed to use only those features common to (almost) all the browsers. If you are using Netscape Navigator 4.5 or later, MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, or Opera 5 or later, your browser should work just fine with the style sheets used here. If you have an older browser, you may want to consider upgrading.
If you have a recent enough browser but the style sheets are not working properly, you may have style sheets disabled. Check all the preferences and options of your browser to be sure that style sheets are turned on and that you are not overriding colors or fonts. What is available to change and how to change it varies with both the browser and the version of the browser, and that is beyond the scope of this web site.
